The Garden

I am astounded by the tomato plants. They are bushy and doing well all over the garden.
Kirsten sent some fava bean seeds from Seeds of Victoria, a black-flowering broad bean. The stems are rectangular, almost square. And the flowers are nearly black. Their website says that these are a variant of a bean seed (red flowering) that dates back to 1788 in England. If these get to the point of actually making beans, more than just looking like an amazing plant, I'll definitely save some.
The potatoes at the ALC plot look great too.
So far, so good.
Romaine leaves are bigger than ever. The compost this year has done the trick.
