mending carhartts

Spent some time on the sewing machine putting on patches and mending worn spots.Then I googled "mending carhartts" and found not much. Searched for "hate mending carharrts" and found nothing. Does no one else out there think that the carhartt company could somehow find a better fabric? One that didn't wear out if there's some sort of crease? Am I the only person that finds mending these things a chore? I wrote an email to the carhartt folks asking if there was any research going on that would result in a longer lasting material, but got no response. Give me stay-pressed stuff any day. Of course, I'm not the person wearing them to work, so don't have that choice (although I did buy a pair of lined stay-pressed pants for the working person). Will see how long they last.
