harvest in September
David shook the neighbor's hazelnut bush/tree, and a bucketful of nuts fell in the yard. Canned quarts of beans today, for those times when there are more than two of us for dinner. Also dried some apples and pears, and froze some grape juice. Katy mentioned that the apple peeler-corer-slicer worked for pears also, and she's right, as long as the pear isn't too ripe.
