THE Wedding

It does seem that the mother of the bride should finally put up a post about the most wonderful wedding ever!!
It was quite different for me (obviously) to be at a wedding with a title other than "organist". For once I wasn't responsible for the music. If I had been, everyone would have been dancing in to "Mairi's Wedding" and the whole procession would have taken 45 seconds!
The wonderfulness of this event was really due to the preparation by the bride and her sisters and friends, who did everything. I can't thank them all enough.
Kirsten and I spent the days and evenings beforehand sewing and talking, more of a chance to talk than we have had in years, which was so meaningful to me.
Time has passed since I started this post, and it's now Christmas Day, almost a 4 month anniversary of the wedding. I guess I should just post, rather than write a major essay. But memories are still fresh and wonderful.
