Tortilla recipe

The tortillas--- 2 cups flour, 1/4 cup shortening, 1/2 cup warm water, a teaspoon of salt if you want it. Mix the flour and shortening like you would pie crust, with a fork; then add the water, and stir with a spoon or your hands into a ball. Roll out small balls into thin rounds and cook on a frying pan, either in oil or without. This makes 8-12 tortillas. I use half a recipe for us, and make four big ones.
